In 2007, the UK National Young Water Professionals Conference will be held at the University of Surrey. As with all YWPC, the conference will integrate formal platform presentations with networking opportunities and social events, and, following on from the success at Beijing, a workshop on careers in the water industry.

This conference, the 8th UK conference, will continue the commitment of the UK IWA to young professionals, with representatives from industry attending to network with the young professionals, judge presentations and contribute to career discussions. The only theme for the conference is water, and hence the programme is diverse, including aspects of catchment management, drinking and waste water treatment, and management. There will also be a technical tour to the Thames Water London Water Control Centre.

The 8th IWA UK Young Water Professionals Conference will also provide a forum for young researchers and professionals working in the water industry to present their work, meet their peers and estrenghen their network. The conference will consist of formal presentation of papers and posters, and a workshop with water industry professionals providing information on water career opportunities in the UK. There will be an optional technical tour to Thames Water's London Water Control Centre.
